Driving Secure Operations with Data Efficacy and Analytics

Raju Chekuri, Chairman, President & CEO, Netenrich: I'm more excited about the way we're looking at this whole problem of secure operations. And it all starts with security. In my mind, security is the next ops. It's very important that you look at data.

The way I see it, the first module we build, where we can take data at scale into the system really increases the efficacy, the wholeness, the completeness. You're not ignoring anything, not working in silos. This way, you can increase efficacy as much as you want with the data sources at a fixed cost, which is fantastic.

You no longer have to limit yourself by bringing in just EDR or just this log or some cloud-native stuff. You don't have to think "Oh, I don't need attack surface." If you have sources, bring them all in! It’s not going to cost you more. That increases efficacy — number one.

Number two is once you bring in this enormous amount of data, are you going to throw a bunch of people at it to understand and process it all? That's going to kill you.

That's where we come in with our analytics module, which is where a lot of machine learning algorithms come in. As we bottle up all the know-how we have, the algorithms keep getting better. This includes likelihood, impact, and scoring, and these get tighter and tighter as we get more data. That really increases the efficiency of problem-solving.

Then, once you've got efficacy and efficiency sorted out, the third piece, which is when you have the Resolution Intelligence module, really changes the game and moves you more towards low SOC, low NOC. With all the intelligence and confidence behind them, your people can do higher value work and get the job done.
