Netenrich commissioned a third-party organization to conduct a security survey across U.S-based organizations with more than 500 employees.
Netenrich surveyed targeted key security decision-makers, from CISOs, VPs, and directors to security architects and managers. The goal was to assess current trends and challenges in security operations and tool procurement. This survey of 202 cybersecurity professionals across the United States reveals a significant shift toward hybrid Security Operations Center (SOC) models, a strategy that offers 24/7 coverage while balancing control and cost-effectiveness.
This approach, adopted by 33% of organizations, is proving to be a game-changer in cybersecurity. Despite substantial investments on tools and services, many organizations struggle with real-time risk identification due to siloed operations, manual processes, and a lack of actionable insights from enterprise telemetry. The top concerns include operational disruption (77%), revenue loss (68%), and reputational damage (60%).
The findings highlight the importance of aligning security outcomes with business objectives and leveraging artificial intelligence to achieve proactive threat management and improve overall security operations.
